A register of pupils’ attendance is kept. Should a child miss school, an explanation is expected as soon as  possible from parents either by letter or through personal contact with the school. Any unexplained absence will be recorded as an “unauthorised absence” on the school register and can lead to the school welfare officer contacting the home. If it is necessary for a pupil to be absent from school during term time for reasons other than medical, parents should fill in a request form for that period. Please note we cannot grant leave for any annual holidays.

Cedwir cofrestr o bresenoldeb pob plentyn.  Os bydd plentyn yn colli ysgol disgwylir esboniad cyn gynted ag y bo modd oddi wrth ei r(h)ieni, trwy lythyr neu gysylltiad personol i esbonio’r absenoldeb. Bydd pob absenoldeb heb esboniad yn ymddangos fel “absenoldeb anawdurdodedig” ar y gofrestr a gall hyn arwain at swyddog lles yn cysylltu â’r cartref. Os oes angen i blentyn cael amser i ffwrdd o’r ysgol yn ystod y tymor am reswm ar wahan i un meddygol, disgwylir i’r rhiant lenwi ffurflen gais am y cyfnod. Nodir ni chaniateir absenoldeb ar gyfer gwyliau.
